Every Ontario voter should have the right to cast a physical, hand-marked, independently recountable paper ballot in the 2026 municipal election.
Should an Ontario voter be forced to trust a computer system when they would rather place a physical ballot into a ballot box?
My answer is no.
Ontario should create a province-wide PAPER BALLOT CHOICE for the October 2026 municipal elections.
Keep electronic voting where municipalities choose to offer it. Keep telephone voting where it assists accessibility.
But give the people their paper ballot back.
"If physical, auditable paper ballots are considered appropriate for choosing Canada's Parliament and Ontario's Legislature, why should municipal voters not be entitled to the same tangible, independently recountable record?"
